Ruth D. Weiland

Age 91, longtime member of the Southport Community, passed away Monday, April 12th, 2010 at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY. Ruth is the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Gibson) Whitman. In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her Husband of 67 years Harry, five brothers and sisters, and her loving daughter in law Debbie Weiland. Surviving Ruth are her loving children: daughter Janice (John) Nolan of Myrtle Beach, SC, sons: Raymond (Barb) Weiland of Lowman, NY, Bruce Weiland of Horseheads, NY, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and close friends Duane and Carol Olthof. Ruth was long time member of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church. Ruth was a devoted mother who loved to travel. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, April 15th, 2010 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 12:00PM. Pastor Mark Erway will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at a time convenient with the family in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
