Sally O. Labare

November 29, 1941 — October 13, 2003

Sally, Age 61 of Elmira, died unexpectedly on October 13, 2003.She comfortably passed from our life just three months after losing her husband Cy in July.Sally was born in Owego, NY on November 29, 1941.She is the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Overlander. Her only surviving sister is Carol Struble. The legacy Sally leaves behind is Yvette and Howard McHenry, Jay and Robin LaBare, and Natasha and Bill Beecher.Given that Sally?s dedication to her grandchildren was unsurpassed, she leaves Harry, Trevor, and Kaitlin McHenry, Alyssa LaBare, and Bryce and John Beecher all the love and memories they will carry with them forever.Sally was a dedicated employee of Trayer Products for over 20 years. She was unyielding in the love and friendship that she brought to all those she came in contact with. She was the gramma everyone knew for her chocolate chip cookies after football games, a mother cherished to the ends of the earth, and a friend to anyone who met her.Although her absence is immense, it is a comfort to know that she is standing by Cy?s side watching over all of us.Friends and family are invited to celebrate Sally?s life at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.Pastor John McConnell will officiate funeral services there on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 10:00 am.Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery.Following the sharing of the committal prayers, a luncheon will be held at the Southside Alliance Church, 530 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY to remember and celebrate Sally?s life.A ?Candle of Remembrance? may be left for the family at www.olthof.com.
