Of Elmira, NY passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2006 at home.He is survived by his wife Kathleen Fanelli; daughters, Alana (Joe) Quigley of Maitland, FL, Jean (Thomas) Martinez of Apopka, FL and Tammy (David) Watson of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Elias and Teagan Quigley, Zach and Sebastian Martinez, Neil Galpin III and Lauren Beckwith. Sister Mary Fanelli of NYC, NY; brother Dominic Fanelli of Elmira, NY; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary (Debbie) May and Martin May; also several nieces, nephews and friends. Salvatore retired after 27 years of service as a bricklayer, with Allied Craft Workers Union #1. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran of Vietnam.A lifetime member of VFW Post #901 of Elmira, NY, lifetime member of the Marine Corp League of Elmira, NY, member of the Disabled American veterans Association, and member of Military Order of Cooties.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with Funeral Service there Saturday morning at 11:00 AM, Reverend Rick Farrell will officiate, followed by graveside service with full military honors by the Marine Corp League, in Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Southport, NY. Those wishing may make memorials in Salvatores name to any veterans military organization.
