Samuel R. Ohart

Age 66, died April 30, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a brief illness. His wife of 44 blissful years and family were by his side. He is survived by wife Bonnie Pendleton Ohart; sons, Gregory (Julie) and Jeffrey Ohart; brother, Daniel (Wendy) Ohart; grandchildren, Junior, Terrant, Taiylor and Brock; great-grandson, Jonah Abraham; extended family including brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, niece & nephews with their families. Predeceased by parents and in laws Lewis & Elinor Etters Ohart & Herman & Jeannette Pendleton. Sam retired from the Chemung County landfill after 30 years. He served our country as a Seabee & and was a Vietnam Veteran. His newly found passion was watching Brock go cart race every Friday night. It was Sam's wish there be no calling hours. Family and close friends will gather at Woodlawn National Cemetery 1825 Davis Street Elmira, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Ohart with military honors.
