Was born August 8, 1960 in Elmira, New York the beloved daughter of Paul and Joanne (Thomas) Westrick passed away in peace on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 47. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of one and a half years, Alexander of Gillett, PA; children, Jessica Noble (Todd Bastion) of Troy, PA; Jennifer Noble of Troy, PA; step-daughters, Kristi (Matthew) Carlson of Emmaus, PA; Kimberly Colavita of Gillett, PA; Jennifer Colavita of Elmira Heights, NY; grandchildren, Abigail Bastion and Lillian Depew, Colin Brown, Sophia Spier, Deakahn Colavita; parents, Paul and Joanne Westrick; sisters, Paula (Bruce) Maynard of Gillett, PA; Calli Ford also of Gillett, PA; brothers, James Westrick of Pine City, NY; Paul Westrick Jr. of Gillett, PA; special friend, Doris Ford also of Gillett, PA; along with several nieces and nephews. Sandra faithfully attended St. Marys Church. She was the Atlanta Braves biggest fan and an avid tennis fan as well. The Discovery Channels Animal Planet, Meerkat Manor show was one that she was addicted to. She enjoyed reading, crossword and word puzzles and loved to borrow books from her mothers library. Above all else, her grandchildren were her world and the love of her life. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Sandras life on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM in St. Marys Church 224 Franklin Street Elmira, NY the Reverend Jeffery Tunnicliff will celebrate her Mass. Interment will take place in the Gillett Cemetery (Route # 14 South) on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Father Tunnicliff conducting the committal prayers. Memorial donations may be directed to the AOMC Foundation c/o Falck Cancer Center 600 Roe Ave. Elmira, NY 14905. Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and a heart felt Thank You for the wonderful love and care shown towards Sandra and her family from Dr. Krueger and Laura Balmer and the entire staff of 3-C at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, including Cheryl and Diana who gave their hearts selflessly.
