Sandra Lou Loper, born in Elmira, NY and resident of Lindley, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was 76.

Sandra, a self-proclaimed 'Domestic Engineer', took pride in nurturing and attending to her family's needs, especially when it came to her precious grandkids and great-grandkids. She was an accomplished cook and was known for her amazing spaghetti sauce. She also had a green thumb and loved gardening and tending to a variety of plants and flowers. Her life was a testament to love, warmth, and devotion to family.

In addition to her parents, Kenneth W. and Jean E. (Stanton) Crain, Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 49 years, David A. Loper, her grandson Gregory Klub, and her sister Sonja Klugo.

She is survived by: her children - Denise Dzikowski  (Bill) of Lyons, NY, David K.W. Loper (Tammi Baldwin) of Germanton, NC, and Lori Dapp of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren - Josh Dzikowski, Julia Van Etten and husband T.J., Abbi Keefe and husband Billy, Alex Loper, Kayla Bartlett and husband J.T., and Ashley Van Camp and husband Brian; her great-grandchildren - Kendall Klub, Braden Coghlan, Wesley Van Etten, Zachary Van Etten, Riley Keefe, Chase Keefe, Ryan Bartlett, Lucy Bartlett, and one more little Keefe soon to be welcomed; her sister Gloria Ryan (Richard) of Deltona, FL; many cousins; and her dog, Jax, who brought her immense comfort and joy.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to family friend Loretta Smith for her loving and steadfast support, and to Care First Hospice for the exemplary care they provided to Sandy in her final days.

The family will celebrate her life in a private gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra's memory may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA, 72 Cameron Street, Bath, NY 14810, to honor her love for animals.

Sandy will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her amazing meals and her sensitivity. She leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
