Sheila D. Allen

Age 66 of Cortland, NY for 20 years and most recently of Elmira, Heights, NY passed away on April 26, 2007. She is survived by her loving daughters; Terrie Smith of Boston, MA and Christy Herron of Nashville, TN, granddaughter, Danielle Herron of Nashville, TN, great grandchildren, Raquelle and her soon to arrive brother, sister Robin Kroeger of Dallas, TX, brothers, Jerry Kosty and Norm Kosty both of Horseheads, NY, several nieces and nephews. Sheila was a warm hearted person who loved pets and was actively mindful of those in need. She was community minded and a true patriot, she was always aware of the sacrifice made by our veterans, and they held a special place in her heart. Sheila enjoyed expressing her creativity through home decorating and varies forms of landscaping, which usually included a pond or two. Throughout her life she enjoyed a loving relationship with her children & grandchildren and enjoyed staying connected to her family. She retired from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave.Elmira, on Monday May 7, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Funeral Service there at 1:00 PM followed by graveside service in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
