But we also come together as family traveling from places near and far, braving the traffic and bad weather in anticipation of what awaits us at the end of our journey. Things like mom's cooking, the warm feelings of love that embraces you when you walk into a house filled with family you haven't seen in a year. The sound of laughter, children playing, adults remembering Christmases past. But sometimes tragedy strikes and hearts are filled with sadness making it hard to celebrate the birth of Christ or enjoy our family that has traveled from distant places to be together. But we must remember that Christ lived and died so that even in death we could have life. The loss of our mother, Shelia Grantier is a great one, but greater than that was the sacrifice given in order for her to have life after death. So instead of mourning her death, we will celebrate her life!
