Shirley A Snowburg

Shirley Ann (Green) SnowburgAge 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born the middle child of twelve children of Hazel (Kennedy) and Lee P. M. Green. She was the wife of the late George Russell Snowburg who predeceased her in March of 1978. Shirley lived a long and full life as the wife of a dairy farmer and blessed with a loving family. She is survived by children, Mary (Keith) Stewart, Kathy (Earl) Smith of Pine City, NY; Patricia (Steven) Scott of Dover, DE; 6 grandchildren: George (Diana) Stewart, David Stewart, April (Daniel) Newton, Matt (Katie) Scott, Allison (Justin) Sharp and Brandon Smith; 5 great grandchildren: Ashley, George II, Gabriana Stewart, Michael Sharp, Madelyn and soon to be baby girl Scott. She is also survived by brothers: Thomas and Herb (Donna) Green; sisters, Rose Woodard, Carrie Bower; sister-in-laws: Barbara Green and Sharon Green; brother-in-laws: John Snowburg and Fred Guyette; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by infant son, Timothy Lee; brothers, Lee Jr. (Syke), Charles, Maurice, William and Robert Green; sisters, Elvera Apthorp and Mary May. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 2;00 to 3:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 3 PM. Her nephew, Louis Bower will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of her family.
