THRASHER, Shirley J.Of Wellsburg, NYAge 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 16, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1940 to the late Raymond Ellis Sr. and Dorothy Ellis Conklin (Glen).Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Ellis Jr.Shirley married her husband Leon Thrasher on June 7, 1958. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Scott Leff of Ridgebury, PA; grandchildren, Desiree (Ryan) Wilkinson of Lowman, NY; Katelynn (Jeffrey) Cobb of Ulster, PA; Taylor Leff of Ridgebury, PA; great grandson, Jared Leff; brother, James Ellis Sr. of Big Flats, NY and Theressa (Bob) Caccia of Elmira, NY; several nieces and nephews and very special friends who are like family, Steve and Carolyn Nichols of Pine City, NY; Gary (Jeannie) Caccia of Horseheads, NY. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Shirley Thrasher will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 7 PM at Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Ave. Pine City with Pastor William Vallet officiating. Donations can be made to Southern Tier Hospice and/or to Pennsylvania Ave United Methodist Church in memory of Shirley Thrasher.
