Sigmund â??Ziggy�? Winiavski

December 25, 1943 — August 6, 2003

Age 59, of Troy, PA went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, August 6, 2003 after a brief illness that he battled courageously. He was born December 25, 1943 in New Jersey the son of the late Sigmund and Evelyn (Tilly) Winivaski. His son, Sigmund, preceded him in death in 1995. ?Ziggy? as he was affectionately known, is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Tonn) Winiavski; his beloved children at home are: Chris, Dan, Tommy, Travis, Donnell, Hassan, Tariq, Jacob, Toni, Nakita, Rebecca, and Samantha. His grown children are: Billy, Jeremy, Norma, Holly, Sandy, Robert and stepdaughter, Jinny; along with 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. {brothers? Sisters?} Reverend Winivaski ministered in India where he was the Vice President of the Indian Village Missions. He was very instrumental in starting several Bible Schools and churches as well as two orphanages. His love for India, and the work started there, will continue to affect the lives of people in the future along with the many who have already been blessed because of Reverend Winivaski?s dedication to his Lord. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Saturday, August 9, 2003 from 11 to 2 and 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services celebrating his life, will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (7 PM) His best friend, Reverend John Johnson will officiate the service along with Reverend John Bedzyk and Reverend G. W. Wilson.
