Age 82, of Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully September 26, 2007 at his home surrounded by family.Born on June 2, 1925 in Elmira Heights, NY the son of the late John and Victoria Genolski Brzuszek; also predeceased by a son Donald;two great grandchildren; and sister, Stella Swift.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce A. Foster Burczynski; daughter and son-in-law Dianna (Roger) Gibbs; daughter-in-law Tina; son and daughter-in-law Ronald (Joann); daughter Beverly Lawson; son and daughter-in-law Stanley JR (Katie); ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother Joseph (Daisy); and sister Mary Deyo.Stanley was a long time member of St. Casimirs Church and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society for over 50 years.He served in WWII in the 86th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division and received numerous honors including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.Stanley retired in 1985 after 30 years as a tool and model maker with Westinghouse.He was a devoted husband and family man and enjoyed hunting and other outdoor activity.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007. The Nocturnal Adoration Society will conduct the Little Office of Resurrection Service on Saturday at 11:45 am.Funeral services will follow at St. Casimirs 1012 Davis Street, Elmira at 1:00 PM, Father Thomas OBrien celebrant.
