Steven "Cooter" C. Stickler

Steven C. Stickler “Cooter”, 66, of Pine City, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Steven was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Marian (Jerzak) Stickler; and sister, Patsy Congdon. Steven is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane; children, Kelly, Lori and Matthew Stickler; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother-in-law, Anna Jane Cherkis; sister-in-law, Betty Carey; and brother-in-law, Michael (Mary) Cherkis. Steven was the owner of Steve’s Body Shop for 36 years. He was very involved with the community and always available to those who needed his help. Steve was an avid NASCAR fan and he enjoyed camping with his wife. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Corbalan and all the nursing staff on the 6th Floor at Chemung County Nursing Facility for their dedicated service with special thanks to “Red” and “Slim”. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5PM to 7PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY with a service to immediately follow there at 7PM. Burial will be held in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 9AM. Steven’s tribute wall may be signed at www.olthof.com.
