Suresh R. Shah

Suresh R. Shah, age 75, of Big Flats, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Suresh was born on August 22, 1940 in Mumbai, India. Suresh married Vibhuti on September 17, 1966 and the couple would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Suresh was a well-respected and beloved member of the community and will be remembered for his association with structures such as the Corning Museum of Glass, Big Flats Town Hall, Elmira College Auditorium etc., to name a few. He worked for Corning Inc. for 32 years and served other organizations in town in a consultant capacity. An avid golfer and Bridge player, Suresh also volunteered in local non-profit organizations. Suresh leaves a huge void in the hearts of his friends and family and his memories will be cherished forever. Suresh is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vibhuti; daughter, Mamta (Michael); son, Devang; and grandchildren, Dhilan and Mira. Funeral services will be held at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY (607-733-7566) on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
