Thomas E. Bravo

Thomas E. Bravo, 69 of Elmira, NY passed away at home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Guy L. Bravo and Marion (Gee) (Willard); brother, Guy Bravo, Jr.; and grand-daughter, Alyssa Zeltwanger. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Connie Bravo; children, Tom (Robin) Mayhood, Tommy (Tammy) Bravo, Ken (Robin) Mayhood and James (Ashley) Bravo; brothers, David (Shirley) Bravo and Donald Bravo; sister, Bonnie (Leon) Merkey; sisters-in-law, Helena Bravo and Brenda (Howie) Estep; brother-in-law, Loren Clark; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a friend of Bill W. for 18 years. Tom retired from Dresser-Rand after 50 years. He was also with Wellsboro, PA National Guard for six years. Tom was a loving grandfather who loved spending time with his family and all of his friends. Donations may be made to the Southern Tier Food Bank, 388 Upper Oakwood Avenue, Elmira, NY 14903 or to Children’s Miracle Network, 571 E. Market Street, Suite 102, Elmira, NY 14902. Visitation will be held at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Sunday, February 28 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The funeral service will follow visitation at 4 PM.
