Violet Louise Degraw

After 101 years, went to Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 14, 2004, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.Violet was born on May 22, 1903 in Germania, PA.She was predeceased by her husband, Charles C. DeGraw; son, Clifford W. DeGraw; and daughter, Illine Allen LaBauve.She is survived by her son, Edward DeGraw (Lyle); daughter, Carolyn DeGraw Briggs (Albert); sister, Dorothy Knight Brooks; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, up to a great-great-great-grandchild.There is one very special granddaughter, Ann Marie Briggs, who has been by her side for the last 16 years to help take care of her.Violet spent most of her life as a homemaker, wife, and mother.She was very loved and will be missed terribly by all who were lucky enough to have known her.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM.Funeral services will be held there on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 9 AM with Father Richard Farrell officiating.Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.Those wishing may leave a ?Candle of Remembrance? for the family in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
