Age 65 of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Born in 1938 to Robert and Donna Kinner Wheeler in Elmira, NY; Bud married Karen Jones on December 24, 1955 and proudly served his country in the US Army from 1955 to 1958.He retired from Corning Inc. as an industrial truck driver after 30+ years of service.He was the owner and operator of Zips Café in Corning NY for 13 years.Bud was a member of the Tioga Masonic Lodge#373 F & AM and enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, and horse racing.Bud is survived by his wife, Karen Wheeler; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Laurel Wheeler, Jim and Ginny Wheeler, Steven and Tami Wheeler; son, Thomas Wheeler; grandchildren, Erica, Jessica, Steven, and Scott; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Elsie Wheeler; brother, Rick Wheeler; sisters, Joyce Sick and Betty Wheeler; brothers-in-law, Gene (Joyce) Jones and Larry (Pam) Jones; uncle Delos Wheeler; and aunts, Margaret Morris, Doris Bensley, Christina Wheeler, and Doris Criss; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.He will be missed more than words can say.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home Inc, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira, NY 14904 on Saturday, August 30, 2003 from 4 to 6 PM.A Time of Sharing will be held there immediately following the visitation at 6 PM.A Candle of Remembrance may be left for the family at www.olthof.com.
