VirgileneJ.Green Age 85 of Elmira, NY Passed away, Monday July 20th, 2009 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Virgilene was the daughter of the late James and Grace (Benedict) Waterman Sr. She was born in Lowman, NY February 14th, 1924. Surviving are her loving children: Cheryl (Joel) Combs of Pine City, Deborah (Steve) Polovick of Pine City, and Thomas (Sandra) Green of Selinsgrove, PA; Grandchildren: Patrick (BeLinda) Combs of Pine City, Jill (Brian) Manchester of Pine City, Robert (Peg) Green of Pine City, Amy (Kevin) Gray of Selinsgrove, PA, Brad (Tracy) Polovick of Mechanicsburg, PA, Becky (Jon) Pesansky of Corning, NY; Great grandchildren: Michael Crowley, Jorden, and Codi Combs, Collin, and Kennedy Burns, Riley Manchester, Katie, and Emily Green, Sarah, Nicholas, and Ashley Gray, Tyler, andKaleigh Polovick, Megan, and Jessica Pesansky and great great grandchild: Justice Wakefield. Brother: Vernon (Lorraine) Waterman of Fl; along with several nieces and nephews. Virgilene is also dearly missed by her sisters in law: Sylvia, Viola, and Marilyn Waterman. In addition to her parents she is also predeceased by her loving husband Walter Green and brothers: James and Donald. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Funeral services celebrating the life of Virgilene will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 1:00PM. Reverend Donald Rockwell will officiate. Graveside services will remain private and held at the convenience of the family in the Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY.Virgilene was a very active lady, who loved to bowl, ride bicycles and horses, playing cards and routing for the New York Yankees.Those wishing to make memorials may do so in Virgilene J.
