Virginia H. Kakretz (Stewart)Age 87 Formerly of Gaines St. Elmira, NY went to be with her Lord on Friday March 28, 2008 at Elcor Health Services with family by her side.She was born on January 18, 1921, in Elmira, NY. The daughter of the late Glenn and Sadie (Luther) Stewart. Survived by daughter, Sheila K. Edwards of Elmira with children Jeffery (Kelli) Edwards and Joette (Michael) McCawley, son Charles Bockus of Lowman with special friend Sara King-Smith and daughter Wendy Sue (Albert) Beavers, son, Ronald (Kathy) Bockus of Florida with children Rhonda (Brian) Willis, Cathy (George) Clarabut, Kristy Mulkey, Kimberly (David) Woodard, Deanna Hawkins with fiance Luca Bellardiny, Meridith (Adam) Litwiler, brother, Charles Stewart of Florida, brothers-in-law, Glenn Harrington of Elmira, and Larry Howland of Florida, 18 Great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents Virginia was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Orme Howland and Phyllis Harrington, nephew Robert Harrington, grandson, Michael Bockus, husband Donald Kakretz (1993) husband, Earl F. Clark (1970) and brother in-law, Robert Orme. Virginia retired from the Remington Rand and Servomation Inc., she loved bowling on the Wednesday morning womens league at the Dixie. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Sunday March 30, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with Funeral Service there Monday morning at 11:00 AM, Father Richard Farrell will officiate, followed by graveside prayers at Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Elcor Health Services for the wonderful care, kindness and compassion given to Virginia, you are her second family.
