Walter B. Zaumseil

Age 55 of Elmira, NY passed away very unexpectedly at Schuyler Hospital Monday, December 27th, 2010. Bert was born in Nyack, NY July 1st, 1955. He is predeceased by his father Walter and mother Jane. Surviving him is his wife 24 years Carol Scott, children; Jessica (Fiancé James Callear), Amber and Brett Zaumseil all of Elmira; granddaughter; Kilynn Callear; sister; Elsa Schwizer of NJ along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Bert is predeceased by his sister Wynn Holland and a brother James Zaumseil. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904, Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.Funeral services will be held there Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at 11:00AM. The Pastor Mark Erway will officiate. Graveside services will be held privately at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Bert was a proud New York Yankees, and Giants fan. He loved to camp at Paradise Park in Reading Center, NY.He was a loving husband that adored his kids and his only granddaughter along with his dog "Buster". He devoted much of his life serving his country in the ARMY. Retiring after 22 years of service. He has worked for Schuyler Hospital as the director of medical records for the past 6 years. Bert was a simple man that loved the simple joys in life. The family that surrounded his world was his greatest treasure. Those wishing please make memorials in Walter B.
