Wilbur C. Friends

Was born June 26, 1933 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Firmund and Valeda (Updyke) Friends, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2006 peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 73. His sister, Virginia Friends and his brother, Robert Friends, predeceased him. Wilbur married Faye J. Randall on June 4th 1955 at the United Methodist Church in Presho, NY. They have celebrated 51 wonderful years of life and love together. Along with his loving wife Faye, he is survived by his beloved children, Debora and Dick Seeley of Millerton, PA; Dale Friends also of Millerton, PA; much-loved grandsons, Rich Seeley and fiance Jade Fenstermacher, Dean Seeley and Cody Seeley; brothers, Donald (Joyce) Friends of Denton, TX; Glenn Friends of Millerton, PA; along with several nieces and nephews. His adored canine companion, Shane, also survives Wilbur. He retired from Corning Inc. December 1994, after 43 dedicated years of faithful service and was a member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union Local # 1000. At his request there will be no prior calling hours or services.
