Wilfred Smith

Age 74, of Alder Run Road, Millerton, PA, passed away in peace on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira.Wilfred was the son of the late J. Edson & Velma Irene Smith.He was born on January 4, 1932.He is survived by his sons, James Smith of Pine City, NY, Scott (Corina) Smith of Lawrenceville, PA; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Kyle, Brenden; sisters, Carolyn Thorp of Millerton, PA, Wanda Allford of Milan, PA; sister-in-law, Patricia & Bud Miley of Millerton, PA; several nieces, nephews and close friends.Wilfred was predeceased by his beloved wife, Vicky Lou H. Smith in 1994.He was the proud owner and dedicated operator of the century old family farm, Hill Crest Oaks Dairy in Tioga County, Alder Run Road, PA.He was a faithful member of West Jackson Baptist Church, and a member of the Grange and Dairylea.Wilfred was a bus driver for the Coryland Area for many years.He loved hunting and watching deer. Wilfred was devoted to his grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Friday, December 15, 2006 from 5 to 8 PM with funeral and committal there at 8:00 PM.Walter Barnes will officiate.Interment will take place in the Alder Run Cemetery at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to West Jackson Baptist Church or Falck Cancer Center.Those wishing may leave a Candle of Remembrance for the family in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
