Of Elmira, NY, passed away November 4th, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital.John was born February 13th, 1926 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late William and Ruth Logan Taylor.John is survived by his loving wife, and dearest friend of 53 years, Helen; brother, Gordon (Emily) Taylor of Williamsport, PA; sister-in-law, Lulu Ann Hewitt the wife of the late Bernard Hewitt of Elmira; numerous loving and caring nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; also his loving companion, ?ILISH?, whom he adored. John was a Navy veteran of WW II, communicant of St. Mary?s Church,Southside. He was an area sales professional for over 40 years. When John was not working, he loved times spent traveling around the area with his number one love, Helen. Together they made many memories.John loved his flowers. He always kept a handsome lawn that made him proud.Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, November 7th, 2005, at 11:00 AM in St. Mary?s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY 14904. The Reverend Richard Farrell will celebrate.
