Age 84, of Sagetown Road, Pine City, NY died Friday morning, April 16, 2004 at home.Mr. Richards was born in Scranton, PA, the son of the late David Isaac and Hannah (Thomas) Richards.Bill was a 1943 graduate of Penn State University and captain of the Penn State boxing team.As a Lieutenant in the U. S. Army during World War II, he served both in Europe and the Philippines.He founded Richards Adjustment Service in Elmira in 1956 and was in business for 40 years.He was a college and high school football official for many years.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, GloriaMordue Richards, children, Salle Richards, Larry And Monika Mordue, Thomas Mordue, Mark And Mary Mordue, and William T. Richards, II;grandchildren, David Mordue, Kelly Eldohiri, Morgan Crooks, Justin Crooks, Alan Mordue; five great-grandchildren; and fondly remembered by his nephew and baseball buddy, Arthur And Donna De Vore.A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 23, 2004, at 7:00 PM in the Webb Mills United Methodist Church, 1623 Pennsylvania Ave., Pine City, with Pastor Patrick Haley officiating.Interment will be held privately in the Webb Mills Cemetery, Pine City at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Webb Mills United Methodist Church, PO Box 196,Pine City, NY14871.
