William F. Curry

Was born August 15, 1922 in McVeytown, PA the son of the late Lloyd C. and Lorma (Freed) Curry passed away peacefully on October 3, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his son, William T. Curry in 1975 and sister Mary Ann Cordes in 1991. He is survived by his daughters, Michaele Ripley and Mary Ann Johnson; four grandchildren all of Las Vegas, NV. William was a long time American LaFrance employee and former iron worker in Las Vegas. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country during WW II and Korea. He was an honorary member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Curry Military Honors. He will be laid to rest in the Mattawana Cemetery in McVeytown, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
