William T. SpaceAge 64, formerly of Horseheads, died peacefully at home Monday the 30th of June surrounded by his loving family.For thirty six years William was the beloved husband of Jean (Huntley) Space.He was the loving father of David Brown of Livonia, Robyn Griffiths of Martville, Jammie Space of Volkel, Shawn Space of Horseheads and Sandra Space of Elmira.William was also the proud grandfather of Caitlin, Sarah, and Corey Brown; Jessica and Cody Griffiths; and Stephen, Samantha and Nathan Space.A graduate of Cortland High School, he retained employment as meat manager for multiple supermarkets in Cortland, Ithaca and culminating at Miniers of Big Flats.For William, work was just the means to fuel his true passionbeing a dedicated husband and father.He will be remembered most for his unyielding generosity and commitment to his family.A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 6th at 1 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, the Rev. Ellie Haber officiating.In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Southern Tier Hospice and Palliative Care, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830, so others may benefit from their loving presence and service.
