Winifred E. Perry

Perry, Winifred E. “Winnie” age 91 formerly of Owens Street Horseheads, NY. Passed away Friday, December 26th, 2014 at the Bethany Manor. Winnie was born in Elmira, April 20th, 1923; the daughter of the late Myles and Lucila (Galpin) Bixby. Surviving are her children: Sharon (Roy) Jones of Mansfield, PA, John Jr. (Heidi) Perry of Rogersville, TN; Grandchildren: Scott, Beth, John Joseph, William, and Nicholas; Six great grandchildren and one great great grandson; Brothers: Joseph (Janet) Stanton, John (Chris) Stanton, and Charles (June) Stanton. Winnie is predeceased by her husband John Perry, Grandson Jeremy Perry, Brothers: William Stanton, James Stanton, and LeRoy Stanton. She worked at the Remington Rand and the A&P Plant for many years. She was Past President of the Loyal of the Horseheads Eagles Club. Winnie loved to cook and visit with her family and many friends. All are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904 Sunday, December 28th, 2014 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. Funeral services celebrating Winnie’s beautiful life will be held Monday, December 29th, 2014 at 11:00AM. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing please make memorials in her name to the charity of one’s choice.
