Zula P. Taylor

Zula P. Taylor, 93, of Elmira, NY, joined her husband in heaven on Friday, March 31, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Leon Taylor; and sisters, Edith Allen and Betty Garton. Zula is survived by her children, Margaret Forsberg, Judy (Alan) Yates and John (Lisa) Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends. Zula was a devoted lifelong Christian who loved serving the Lord in many capacities. Zula has received many honors and awards for her many achievements and volunteer efforts because of her love of people and mission work. She had a strong passion for all things music and loved to sing in the church choir and Common Time. She was a Charter member and member of the production team of Senior Notebook which aired on WENY TV on Saturday and Sunday mornings. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 356 North Midler Avenue #4, Syracuse, NY 13206. A graveside service will be held in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 3 PM.
