Of Lindley, NY was born September 27, 1933 in San Diego, CA the son of the late William Alfred and Mary Emma (Chatfield) Robinson passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital at the age of 72. His sister, Mary Charlotte and son, James D. Robinson predeceased him. ?Dick? as he was affectionately known, is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Shirley A. (Drake) Robinson of Lindley, NY; beloved children, Richard L. (Dawn) Robinson of Gainesville, FL; Robert G. (Paula) Robinson of Lindley, NY; William A. (Linda) Robinson of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Justina, Christina, Jamie, Kristi, Jodi, Stephanie, Eddie Jr., Jeff, Jimmy, Jakob, Tommy, Matthew, Kelly, Heather and Katie; great grandchildren, Dominick, Ariana, Brooke and Katie; siblings, William (Josephine) Seth of Ogdensburg, NY; Sue (Danny) Backus of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. ?Dick? graduated from LaJolla High School in San Diego, CA. He then enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee of Elmira Heat Treat for 25 years and then owned and operated Robby?s Marina in Ogdensburg, NY for the past 18 years. ?Dick? was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He held a patent on the ?weed eliminator?, was an inventor extraordinaire and an entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday; April 26, 2006 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral Services celebrating his life and honoring his memory will take place following the visitation. (5:00 PM)Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded to Mr. Robinson.
