Age 75 lifelong resident of the Pine City community passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Sharon was born in Elmira, April 21st, 1937, the beloved daughter of the late Gordon C. and Prudence M. (Cortright) Ham.In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her loving husband whom she dearly missed Giles O. Tolbert and her sisters; Evelyn Joyce Ham, and Joyce Barnes. Surviving are her children: Richard (Kathy) Tolbert of Millerton, PA, Marilyn (Charlie) Squires of Livingston Manor, NY, Dawn (Edward) Perry of Youngsville, NY, and JoLee (Sid) Lee of Jobs Corners, PA; Grandchildren: Melissa (Dean) Deljoo, Amanda (Scott) Henning and Jeffrey Shuster; and her great grandchildren: Matthew Perry, Madison Deljoo, Levi Henning, Weston Henning; and her brother: Clairmont(Gretchen) Ham of Pine City along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport Wednesday, June 27thfrom 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held there on Thursday, June 28th at 11:00AM. Graveside services will be shared following the funeral at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. Sharon attended a one room school house on Kinner Hill and was a graduate of the Southside High School class of 1955. She attended the Pine City Baptist Church since her childhood. She worked many jobs, but most will remember her for her many years of dedication and work at Shepherd’s Food Market in Pine City. She was an avid bowler and NASCAR fan.
